An open dictionary and speech bubble in Puerto Rico’s flag colors

Language you can carry.
Culture you can keep exploring.

Start with a word. Find the context.

Understand the expression,
not just the translation.

For people reconnecting with their roots, learning something new, or getting to know Puerto Rico through its everyday language.

01 / Discover

Search in either language

Find phrases through Spanish or English words, meanings, context, and examples. Search ignores accents and letter case, so you can start with what you remember.

02 / Understand

Meaning, context, and examples

Open an expression to read its meaning and everyday use in English or Spanish. Browse topics when you’re in the mood to explore rather than search.

03 / Listen

Hear the Spanish phrase

Use Listen on a phrase page. Playback uses an installed system Spanish voice, preferring Puerto Rican Spanish when available. No microphone or recording is needed.

04 / Keep

Build your personal collection

Save favorites, revisit recent phrases, and search both lists. Share an expression as text or an image card with its definition, context, and example.

Make it part of your day

A few phrases.
A little more confidence.

Choose a daily goal of 3, 5, or 10 different phrases. Short recall sessions start with mistakes and due reviews, then introduce new phrases toward your goal.

Practice from the whole dictionary, your favorites, or one category. Your progress is saved on your device, and unfinished games can be resumed later.

Review timing is a learning aid, not a certification of fluency. Listening uses synthesized system speech, not native-speaker recordings.

01

Connect a Spanish expression with its meaning. Read the explanation after answering, then review the phrases you missed.

02

Match pairs

Pair phrases with their meanings at your own pace. Retry a mismatch and keep going until the board is complete.

03

Listen

Hear the expression before choosing its meaning. Replay it, or use slower playback when you need another listen.

04

Recall & review

Try the meaning before revealing it, then choose Got it or Keep practicing. See due reviews and your last seven days of activity.

Beyond the dictionary

Explore the places
behind the conversations.

The island guide currently includes 27 destinations, from historic sites and forests to beaches and places to eat.

Find your next stop

Search in English or Spanish by place, town, or description. Combine your search with history, nature, beach, and gastronomy filters.

Switch from list to map

See matching destinations across Puerto Rico, including Vieques and Culebra. Tap a pin for a preview or open the full guide. Browsing the map doesn’t request your location.

Keep a personal island list

Bookmark places, arrange your Want to go list, and mark destinations Visited. Share a selected list with names, towns, and Apple Maps links.

Bundled destination guides, images, and saved places work offline. Map tiles, directions, visitor websites, and external links may need internet access. Check current hours, access rules, and local conditions before visiting.

Built for everyday use

Your language. Your pace. Your device.

Comfortable in English or Spanish

Switch the interface language, choose light or dark appearance, and adjust the accent theme. Layouts adapt to iPhone, iPad, and larger text settings.

Useful without a connection

The dictionary is bundled with the app. Favorites, history, practice progress, saved games, and planned places are stored on your device.

Language lives in us

Suggest a phrase with its meaning, context, and an example. Your draft is saved locally; send it through Mail or copy it into the email app you prefer.

Questions, ideas, or a phrase from your corner of the island? We’d like to hear it.

Expressions can vary by region, generation, and setting. Translations and examples offer context, not a single rule for how everyone speaks.
