1. Scope
This policy applies to neurograv.com and to NeuroGrav applications, including PetNodex. SynthRunner and DiccionarioBoricua are private development projects; more specific disclosures will be published before either app is offered publicly.
2. The NeuroGrav website
The website does not use advertising pixels, behavioral analytics, account registration, or contact forms. Its fonts and images are served from NeuroGrav’s own hosting.
The hosting infrastructure may process standard request information—such as an IP address, browser type, request time, and requested path—to deliver the site, maintain reliability, and protect it from abuse. NeuroGrav does not sell this information.
3. PetNodex data
PetNodex is local-first. Core pet information is stored on the device using Apple’s storage technologies. Depending on the features you use, this information can include:
- Pet profiles, photos, notes, important dates, and identifying details you enter.
- Care logs, routines, reminders, activity summaries, and medication inventory.
- Health records, measurements, documents, veterinary reports, and safety information.
- Expenses, budgets, receipt images, albums, and other media you choose to add.
4. Optional iCloud and sharing
If you enable iCloud synchronization, Apple CloudKit is used to sync supported PetNodex data through your Apple account. Care-team sharing uses private CloudKit sharing workflows so that you can choose the people who receive a shared care archive. Public CloudKit access is not enabled.
Care-team shares are created for an individual pet. The core profile is included; the owner can adjust categories such as health, medications, reminders, care history, routines, measurements, and documents. Care entries can identify their recorded caregiver. Expenses, budgets, and receipts are excluded from care-team sharing. Apple’s handling of iCloud account and service information is governed by Apple’s policies. Personal sync can be turned off without restarting; this stops transfers and preserves local records, rather than deleting the existing iCloud copy. Removing a participant’s access is a separate action. When the recipient’s app next detects the revoked share during synchronization, it removes that shared pet and its associated local records, media, previews, and scheduled alerts. External copies cannot be recalled.
5. Device permissions
Location
Location access is requested only after you start a feature that needs it, such as walk tracking, finding nearby pet services, or choosing a last-seen location for Lost Pet Mode. A city or ZIP code can be searched for nearby places without granting current-location access.
Photos and camera
You choose which photos, videos, documents, and receipt images to add. Camera access is requested for features such as taking photos and scanning documents or receipts. Text recognition runs on device and can suggest fields for review; recognized document text may also be stored with the record for in-app search.
Microphone and speech
Assistant voice input requests microphone and speech-recognition permissions. PetNodex requires on-device speech recognition for this feature; availability depends on the device and language. Typed input remains available when voice input is unavailable.
Notifications
Local notifications are optional. They can be managed for reminders and care routines and can also be changed in iOS Settings.
6. On-device tools and exports
Veterinary report PDFs are generated on the device, and you choose where to save or share them. PetNodex’s assistant uses Apple’s on-device language model; pet records are not sent to an external AI service for assistant responses. It can answer questions and propose supported records, which require your confirmation before saving and offer an Undo action. Its inquiry history is stored locally. Siri and Shortcuts are separate system features and follow Apple’s service settings.
In-app search can use saved records and recognized document text. Optional “Show Record Titles in Spotlight” indexing is off by default. If enabled, PetNodex contributes limited record titles, categories, and pet names to the device’s Spotlight index—not record notes, contact details, monetary amounts, or recognized document text.
Optional Privacy Lock uses iOS authentication to control access to the app and covers its contents when it leaves the foreground. PetNodex does not receive or store biometric templates or the device passcode. Widgets, notification previews, Siri, exports, and information already shared with others require separate privacy choices.
Backup files, reports, safety cards, and other exports leave PetNodex only when you choose a save or share destination. Once shared, the receiving app or person controls that copy.
7. Data control and deletion
You can edit or delete records inside PetNodex, archive pets, and recover recent deletions while available. Portable backups can include records and attached media; protect exported files and choose their destinations carefully. Restore offers a preview and a merge-or-replace choice. Deleting the app removes locally stored app data from that device, subject to normal device backups; data synchronized to iCloud or shared with another participant may require separate removal.
8. Children
NeuroGrav applications are not designed to collect personal information from children. PetNodex records information about pets and care activities entered by the user.
9. Changes
This policy may change as the apps evolve or new features are prepared for release. The revision date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are published.
