The PetNodex feature guide
Find the right record, keep track of care, and prepare for what comes next. Here’s how the latest tools fit into a real day with your pets.
Updated September 10, 2026 · In development
Open Home → Health and choose a pet. The summary brings the latest health record and measurement into view, with direct routes to medication inventory, adherence, and a veterinary report.
Tap a pet’s circle on Home for the broader Overview and Profile, including important dates, emergency details, and general expiration reminders.
Open Home → Health → Medication Adherence. An enabled medication routine establishes the schedule; recorded care is compared with those expected doses over a 7- or 30-day period.
The adherence summary uses scheduled routines and a two-hour completion window. It cannot verify that a dose was actually given and does not recommend medication or dosage. Follow your veterinarian’s instructions.

Tap the search icon on Home. Search results bring pets, health and care records, medication, measurements, reminders, expenses, and searchable document text into one grouped list. Tap a result to open its destination.
Spotlight indexing is off by default. Notes, contact details, amounts, and recognized document text stay inside PetNodex rather than being included in its Spotlight entries.
Open + → PetNodex Assistant to ask about saved records or prepare an entry. The assistant can draft reminders, care logs, expenses, measurements, and health records.
Type a request or use supported voice input. For example, ask to log a walk for a named pet.
Check the proposed pet, date, record type, and details before anything is saved.
Approve the entry explicitly. Cancel the proposal if it isn’t what you intended.
Use the offered Undo action if you need to reverse the assistant’s saved entry.
Voice input uses supported on-device speech recognition. You can also listen to responses read aloud and revisit the local inquiry history.
PetNodex exposes actions for care summaries and preparing supported records. Record-creation actions request confirmation before saving.
The assistant requires an Apple Intelligence-compatible iPhone, Apple Intelligence enabled, and its model ready. Voice input needs microphone and speech permissions plus on-device recognition for the selected language.
Saved pet records are not sent to an external AI service for assistant answers. Review generated details for accuracy; the assistant is not a substitute for veterinary advice. Siri follows Apple’s own service settings.
Use Add Document → Scan Document for paperwork, or Add Expense → Receipt Available → Scan Receipt for a purchase. Text recognition happens on device and suggests relevant fields for your review.
Scanning depends on camera availability and permission. Recognition can miss or misread text; check every suggested field before saving, especially totals and dates.
Open More → Privacy Lock and enable Require Authentication. iOS verifies your identity using its available authentication methods before PetNodex shows your records.
Widgets, notifications, Siri, exports, and records already shared with others have separate privacy settings. Privacy Lock protects access to the app on this device.

Open Home → Activity & Progress, choose your pet, and start a walk. Track active time, distance, pace, and route, with controls to pause, resume, finish, or discard. Reopen a saved walk from your history.
Location is requested when you start a feature that needs it. Walk accuracy depends on the device and location conditions. Notifications and Live Activities depend on your iOS settings.
PetNodex keeps core information on your device and gives you explicit choices for moving it elsewhere.
Add a photo, breed, important dates, allergies, microchip and emergency details. Keep photos and videos in albums with browsing, selection, rename, sharing, and deletion controls.
Organize insurance, vaccination, prescription, lab, registration, and other files. Prepare emergency cards with an offline QR code and use Lost Pet Mode to assemble recovery information.
Track expenses by pet and category, store receipts, set monthly budgets, and review spending analytics. Expenses, budgets, and receipts are excluded from care-team shares.
Enable or disable personal synchronization without restarting the app. Turning it off stops transfers and preserves your local records. Keep PetNodex updated on every device for compatible synchronization.
Export records together with pet photos, album media, documents, and receipts. Preview a restore and choose whether to merge it with current data or replace the local store.
Archive pets or recover recent deletions while available. Background maintenance helps reconcile records and alerts; iOS chooses when it runs. Check its status under More → About PetNodex.
PetNodex is in development and not yet publicly available on the App Store. The current iPhone build targets iOS 26.4 or later; the Watch companion targets watchOS 26.4 or later. Subscription options, availability, and final pricing will be shown at launch. For questions or feedback, email petnodex.feedback@neurograv.com.
